BOY!!
We are really excited to have another little cowboy come join us here in our home. We really didn't have any clue what to expect when we went into our ultrasound but we were really excited. It was amazing to see the little guy and see everything that they look at. He was a happy to see us kinda since he gave us a mostly full handed wave. I say that because he didn't open his hand all the way, just a four fingered wave. It was pretty cute. We got to see his heart beating, lungs breathing, and his little brain working. Really cool! He is growing right on schedule and everything looks healthy and strong so far!
This little guy has been a LOT more active within the last 2 weeks. He has been kicking and punching me a lot lately and he is getting stronger too. It's really kinda cool, but at the same time, a little creepy in a way. He is usually most active between 9 and 10 in the morning and sometimes in the evenings, depending on what I am doing really. (Right now he is kicking me a lot, :) ) I am 22 weeks and a day today and I feel like I am getting bigger. And depending on what I wear you can really tell I am prego. Kinda fun.
We have been thinking of names and there are a few that we like but we haven't decided on anything for sure yet.
Christmas is coming up pretty quickly and we are mostly ready. We aren't doing anything big for each other, but that is ok since it isn't about what you get, its the thought that counts. And the biggest part of why we celebrate Christmas isn't about the presents anyway.
Well, that's all I have for now!

Getting Excited!
So next week we get the opportunity to see our baby up close and personal and make sure everything is going well, and all that other fun stuff they do at targeted ultrasounds. We will also get to find out if we will be having a little cowboy or rodeo queen added to our family! We (ok so really I can only speak for myself, but I am totally stoaked) are really excited about this baby. Next week I'll try to post a picture of my baby bump... I guess if you can call it that. I think that if anything, the baby has pushed any fat hiding around my middle and put it all together so that it might look like a baby bump, when actually its probably only fake.... But what do I know. This is my first so I have nothing to compare it to. And since everyone is different it's really hard to tell. But I have a couple friends that are due within a week or two of me and are both on their second child and they are both showing, so I guess it's possible that it's really the baby and not just my imagination.
So here are a few things about my pregnancy so far:
1. I found out and still rode in the State Fair when I was 7 weeks and felt like puking before every performance.
2. I was super nauseous, but never threw-up. That was a bonus I thought.
3. I have MAJOR heartburn like all the time! Ive been taking Prilosec and that has helped a TON. But you can only take that for 14 days then you aren't supposed to take it again for 4 months. That doesn't help me much. So I just bought a HUGE bottle of Tums to help me make it through. I heard that heartburn usually goes away in your 2nd trimester but I'm already halfway through that and it is still terrible!
4. I get so tired all the time. That is unusual for me. I can usually muster up the strength to make it through the rest of the day, but two weeks ago when I got home from the greenhouse to get changed to go to work at ShopKo, I almost broke down in tears because I was so tired! I literally had tears in my eyes as I walked into the bathroom. It was sad!
5. I am beginning to have a hard time bending over. To pick things up off the ground, to tie my shoes, anything really including the bending over process. It kinda sucks.
6. I'm pretty sure that I've felt the baby move. It's pretty cool. It usually only in the morning when I can feel it. I really felt it move a couple hours after I ate a caramel and chocolate covered pretzel. So my friend Krista and I decided that I am having a girl because the baby went crazy kicking and only girls get that excited from chocolate and caramel. I told Robert that and he said that girls aren't the only ones that get excited over chocolate and caramel. I told him that I've never seen a guy get excited for anything like that. The only things that guys get excited about are: cars, football, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, new electronics, ya know, guy stuff.
7. I can't breathe at night! Well, not just at night, pretty much anytime. It's terrible. I had heard that you get more of a stuffy nose when you are pregnant. But now I think that I have a cold on top of that because I REALLY can't sleep at night. And I'm not supposed to take any medicine for it cause it could only make things worse and also can not be good for the baby. So I borrowed my moms humidifier to use at night. It has been helping but not as much as I would like it to.
Well, that's all that I can think of at the moment. I'm sure that there is more, but I'm tired and I can't think of much else. So I will update again next week after we find out!

The Word is Out!
Yup, It's true. The word is out now so I might as well blog about it right?
I'm PREGNANT!!
I am almost 16 weeks today. I am due April 16. Yay, a spring baby, but for anyone who knows me and what I do - That's not the greatest time of year to be having a baby in my line of work. But it's ok. The Lord works in mysterious ways and for some reason we are supposed to have this baby now. We are really excited though!
We found out on our 4th anniversary. It was pretty cool. Then we told the family on Robert's birthday. a whole month later! Yes you should be impressed because I usually can't keep a secret for that long. And the great thing is that nobody knew or had any idea. Well a couple claim they knew because of how adamant I was about Robert opening his present that we got to announce it with. But everyone was really excited when they heard.
So far I've had a fairly good pregnancy. I can't really complain much about it. I have been a little nauseous and have had some crazy heartburn. But other than that it hasn't been to bad. I have started to wear maternity pants though. Kinda sad but good at the same time because that means I am growing. I have gotten one of those belly bands that you put over your pants so you can still wear them even after you have grown out of them. So that's been nice too.
Anyway, We just set up our appointment for our big ultrasound to check on the baby and see if everything is growing the way it should and also to check and see if it is a boy or girl! We are pretty excited for that. That will be on Nov. 23 so just a couple days before Thanksgiving.
Anyone have any guesses on what we are having? I have asked most of my family and most of them haven't said a boy or girl... just baby. But my niece Emily (She's 4) said that she thinks its a girl. And my nephew Tanner (he's 9) thinks that it will be a boy. I also have a friend in the posse that siad that he is part gypsie (true story, I'll have to tell you about it sometime) and that he can tell what it is by just touching my belly with about 85-90% accuracy. So I'm kinda interested to see if he's right or not.
Anyway, leave your comment if you have a guess or anything else fun to say!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!
Wow! Summer is over already! It's crazy it feels like it was only yesterday that we started in on our fun filled summer. We've had a lot of things going on this summer so here's what we've been up to:
Posse: Lots of things going on with that. We have already done all but one of our rodeos. We went to Delta, Morgan, a few 4th of July Parades, Pioneer Days Parades and the rodeos there. Almost all of them went off without any problems until we got to the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo. The third night there we had a pretty good accident between my father-in-law and one of the other riders. The other rider and he collided during one of the cross-overs and, let's just say there were horses and people rolling over top of each other... Well, mostly just over my father-in-law. He has a few fractured ribs and lots of bruising. But he is mostly back to normal although he didn't ride the next two nights. But things are starting to get back to normal. Our next big thing is this next week. We are going to Fort Bridger to to a fundraiser and help park people at the Mountain Man Rendezvous. It's really pretty fun to watch all the people. Then after we get back from that we go down to the State Fair rodeo and ride for a few nights there. Then after that we are almost done with our riding events for the year. We get to help with the buffalo round-up at Antelope Island. That is usually lots of fun to watch or help with.
Camping and Horseback riding: We have done lots more of that this year than we have the last few years. It's been pretty fun. We have a couple of friends in the Posse that have property up in the Unitas just North of Mirror Lake so we've gone up there and camped and have gone riding while we were there. It was really fun! It's beautiful up there, but lots of rocks... everywhere! We were trying to decide if there were more rocks/boulders or sand. We couldn't decide. But it was still fun nonetheless.
Celebrating: We just celebrated 4 fun filled years of marital bliss. We went to dinner and then got a couple of movies and watched them that day then over the weekend we went riding up in to Naturalist Basin in the Unitas. It was beautiful and a great way to spend our anniversary weekend together.
Boating: Not as much boating as we have usually done in the years past because Robert twisted his ankle pretty badly when he was working on a job. So we haven't gone as much as I'm sure he would have liked but he is better now and so we are going more often as long as the weather permits.
Other than that not a lot has been happening for us. I haven't been to Zumba for a long time because of our crazy schedule for the summer but that's ok. I am excited to be able to get done with this last bit craziness so we can settle down and get a few things done around the house. But when we get back there will be lots of canning for salsa and peaches that I am really excited for.
Well, that's all for now!

Things I've had on my mind
So there have been a few things on my mind recently, one of which is that I haven't been blogging much. In case you were wondering why, let me tell you. Spring is exceptionally busy for me at the greenhouse and well, let's just face it - Robert doesn't blog. He leaves that up to me. So back to me... now that it is summer I have a little bit more time to do fun things to pass the time.
Now here's my list of things that have been on my mind:
1. I know I'm going to get a lot of crap about this but with the recent events I just feel like I need to defend myself.
I don't understand all the hype with Twilight. No, I've never read the books and no, I've never watched the movies (well, actually I did watch a very short part of it and I didn't find it at all interesting). And something really hard for some of you to believe is that I don't want to, nor will I. Thanks for asking though!
Vampires and Wolves (I know that's not right, but you know what I'm talking about) don't appeal to me. I don't like fantasies like that. I just don't get it. And all this stuff with taking sides on teams and stuff. Umm, Hello!! Jacob is WAY hotter in the pictures! DUH! Buff tan guy with no shirt on versus a VERY pale, skinny guy! I'm totally all for the buff, tan guy! Anyway...I don't feel like I will be any less of a person or not going to see the movies or reading the books. I think I will manage just fine. But again, Thanks for asking!
2. I HATE drama. Drama hates me. And lately there has been a TON of drama! Drama with friends and with family and it drives me nuts! If there is a problem then the best answer is to talk to the person about it. Not just stew on it until one thing rolls into another and then snowballs into something massive! Let's not act like kids in Jr High. Let's act like adults that know how to use their big kid words and figure out a compromise. Life would be SO much better if we all knew how to communicate better and tell everything that you are thinking and not just parts to the things that you are thinking. A conversation shouldn't be a game where you have to guess what things the other person is thinking but not telling you.
And finally 3- I Love riding horses. It is probably one of the best things out there that really gets you back to nature and where we come from. I love riding in Posse. It has helped me so much to become a better more confidant rider. And I think that it helps to have a horse that is also confidant in what they are supposed to be doing as well. In the Morgan Rodeo, at the very end of our performance, we ride out shooting our black powder guns. Usually I stop right at the gate and just go out, but the guy I ride with wanted to go around again so we started going but his horse stopped and wouldn't go past the gate so I went around by myself and had the greatest time! Duchess (the horse I ride) was just cruisin around the corners and leaned really hard into the corner. It was beautiful! It just felt like I was gliding on the air! Oh man! I had the biggest smile plastered on my face the rest of the night. It was great! And Duchess and I butted heads a little bit right before our first rodeo and again after and we both came to an understanding of how things were going to go from then on because at Morgan she didn't fight me at all when I needed to hold her back on the cross-overs. So that is good. Hopefully it will stay that way for Ogden!
Well, There ya have it! Hopefully I will be able to blog again soon!! Happy 4Th of July!!

My Weight Loss Prgram
Ok, so I decided around thanksgiving that I didn't like the way that I was beginning to look. I had gained about 20 lbs just after we got married and at least 10 more in the last year or so. I wasn't loving it at all... So when a friend asked if I wanted to do a biggest loser type challenge I decided to get in on it. We did it for 3 months and I didn't loose anything... in fact I gained a couple pounds (Oops!) anyway, I wanted to do something more. So I was looking on facebook at a few of my friends posts and saw that my friend Cammie was teaching Zumba. And to make it better she was teaching at the gym where I had a membership. So I decided to go by myself and just check it out.
Well that was all that I needed!
I am HOOKED on Zumba!!! I absolutely love it! It is the most fun i have had while getting the best workout! It's kind of a dance class mixed with lots of exercise. Its a fusion of salsa and other international dances. And I've never been one to be able to dance but I can do this! It's really easy and fun.
After my first class I found out that Cammie was teaching it in her garage a few nights a week other than at the gym and started going to those as well. Then about a month later when I was going at least 3 times a week, I decided to actually weigh myself and all that fun jazz... I lost 2 INCHES from my WAIST!!! YAAAAAYYY!! but no weight loss :(
Then a week and a half later I weighed myself and I had lost almost 5 lbs!! Awesome! Love it! I feel so much better about myself.
However, my poor hubby is feeling a little neglected. See, I'm gone all day long at work then Monday and Tuesday nights to Zumba, Wednesday to Young womens and then sometimes Zumba after that, Thursday to Zumba, and Friday i have Mary Kay meetings. So I'm only home at nights on the weekends. :( I think he might miss me just a little bit...
Anyway, I just had to tell you about this fabulous new thing I found.
She teaches here in Ogden down 12th street on Monday at 8pm, Tuesday at Lady Fitness at 5:45pm, Wednesday at 8pm, and Thursday at 7pm. If you are interested in coming to any of her classes let me know and I'll get you more info.
I'll keep you posted on how much more I loose!
